Are these template websites?+
No. I start by learning how your business feels in person, what customers care about, and what action you want visitors to take. The layout, writing, colors, and functionality are then shaped around your business instead of forcing it into a generic theme.
Do I have to write all the website copy?+
No. I use your answers, existing materials, customer questions, menus, service details, and business story to shape the website copy. You review and approve everything before launch so it still sounds like you.
What if I do not have professional photos yet?+
We can plan the site around the photos you already have, identify the most important images to capture, or discuss professional photography as a separate need. I will never pretend weak or unrelated stock imagery represents your actual business.
Can you redesign my existing website?+
Yes. I can review what is working, what feels outdated, what information should be preserved, and what needs to be rebuilt. A redesign may fit one of the standard packages or require a custom scope depending on the amount of content and migration involved.
Will the website work well on phones?+
Yes. Mobile usability is part of every package. Navigation, text, buttons, images, forms, ordering links, and other important actions are designed and checked for smaller screens rather than treated as an afterthought.
Can you connect Square, Toast, Clover, or another POS?+
Often, yes, through an approved ordering link, embed, partner tool, or API. Access differs by provider, account type, location, and merchant permissions, so I review your current setup first and confirm the most reliable supported option in writing.
Do you handle hosting, domains, and launch?+
I help connect the domain, configure hosting, prepare the site for launch, and make sure the main technical settings are in place. Domain registrations, premium hosting, and third-party subscriptions remain in the business owner's name whenever practical.
How long does a website usually take?+
A focused site can often be completed in a few weeks once the content and feedback are available. Larger sites, custom builders, POS integrations, AI features, or delayed photo and copy approvals take longer. Your written scope will include a realistic timeline.
Do I have to pay for the whole website upfront?+
No. Standard projects use a 50/25/25 schedule: 50% after the scope and agreement are approved to reserve the project and begin work, 25% after the main design is approved, and the final 25% before launch. Any different schedule will be stated clearly in the written proposal.
Can I purchase a package directly through this website?+
Not immediately, because even a three-page website needs a quick scope review. After we confirm the pages, features, timeline, and responsibilities, you receive a written agreement and a secure personalized invoice link. This prevents you from paying for a package that does not actually fit your business.
What does Essential Care include?+
Essential Care is $39 per month for Starter and Growth sites. It covers routine technical updates, uptime and form monitoring, backup and hosting coordination, fixes related to the original build, and up to 15 minutes of straightforward text or image changes each month. Larger updates and unused time do not roll over.
What is Active Care?+
Active Care is an optional $99 per month plan for businesses that change menus, promotions, photos, staff details, or service information more often. It includes Essential Care plus up to 60 minutes of content updates per month, priority placement in the edit queue, and a simple monthly analytics summary. Unused update time does not roll over.
What does lifetime website care mean?+
For the original Signature website, routine technical maintenance, monitoring, and bug fixes related to the original build are included while Websites by Sam is operating and the business remains active. Redesigns, new pages, new systems, substantial content work, third-party changes, and provider fees are separate. Signature clients can add Active Care when they want ongoing content updates.
How are payments collected?+
Project and care-plan payments are collected through a secure hosted invoice or checkout page from a professional payment provider. Available methods are shown on the invoice. Websites by Sam does not ask clients to send card details by email or through the general contact form.
What costs are not included?+
Your domain, specialized subscriptions, payment-processing charges, premium integrations, AI usage, paid photography, and unusually large content needs are separate unless they are specifically included in your written proposal.
